The Darshan Lab: Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience Lab
Meet the group
Darshan Lab is a theoretical and computational neuroscience lab that aims to understand how cognitive abilities emerge from collective neural activity and how such activity evolves during the learning process. We utilizes theory, models, data analysis, and collaborates with experimentalists to achieve breakthroughs in computational neuroscience.
Ran Darshan, Ph.D.
Principal Investigator

Ran is a theoretical neuroscientist, affiliated with the Department of Neuroscience and Brain Disorders at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, the Sagol School of Neuroscience, and the School of Physics and Astronomy. After obtaining his Ph.D. in theoretical and computational Neuroscience at ELSC (Hebrew University), he opened a theoretical lab at Janelia Research Campus (HHMI, USA) as a Janelia Fellow, before moving to Tel Aviv University.
